September 12, 2018
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of a member of our Barracuda swim family. Ty Kendall passed away in a 4-wheeling accident on Sunday September 2nd. For those that knew Ty, he will be remembered as a bundle of laughter and energy. A kid with an infectious smile and laugh and a true fighter in every sense of the word. He struggled with epilepsy for the last several years which kept him out of the pool. This summer he underwent and recovered from brain surgery, and every picture of him while on that journey was one of smiles. He was a joy to be around at swimming parties, and he was often seen on the deck cheering on his older brother, Troy and his friends during meets.
The next several months are going to be challenging for the Kendall family. As painful as it is, they need to continue with life, and support Troy in his swimming. Coming back to swim meets is going to be hard. Please respect their privacy in this public setting and limit your support and questions there.
At this time, we ask that you direct any questions or offers of help to either Brenda Huckert at 581-2647/ email@example.com or Jane Mittelsteadt at firstname.lastname@example.org, in order to avoid overwhelming the Kendall’s, and respect their need for privacy in order to begin the healing process.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 12 at Holy Rosary Catholic Parish with Father Leo officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seattle Children's Hospital Foundation, PO Box 5371, Seattle, WA 98145. On the memo line or in an enclosed note, please request that the money be given to the Epilepsy Research Fund in memory of Ty Kendall.
Montana Swimming would like to express our deep condolences to the Kendall family.
