Meet Registration Process!

Hello YDC United Families!

Just wanted to give everyone the information on how to sign up to participate in a Swim Meet on our TeamUnify website and the fees that go with meets. It would be awesome for everyone to practice this process for our upcoming Inter Squad meet at the East YMCA!

Registering:

After you login you will see on the bottom right of the home page the events box. If you click on the blue meet name the important information you need to know regarding this meet will be listed as well as the meet description in the document section at the bottom. In the top right hand corner there is a red box that says “Edit Commitment” click on that box and it will take you directly to the Athlete Sign Up page.

 

You can also access the Athlete Sign Up page from the home page. Next to the meets already entered you will see the red “Edit Commitment” box on the right hand side - click on that box and the Athlete Sign Up page will appear.

 

Click on the athlete that you are wanting to sign up and the declaration options will open on the next screen. Use the drop down menu to attend or decline this meet or event. On this screen you can also leave a note for your coaches about the meet. If you are only attending one day of the meet please include that so coaches know not to sign your swimmer up for a relay or event that they will not be there for.

 

If you click “Yes, please sign [Swimmer] up for this event” all of the events that swimmer is eligible for will appear below for you to choose from if you want to pick your swimmers events for that meet. If you would like to have the coaches pick the events just scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.

 

If you click “No, thanks, [Swimmer] will NOT attend this event” all you have to do next is click Save Changes on the bottom left of the screen.

 

If you do not plan on attending a meet or event please be sure to decline the event with the above process so coaches know who to bug or not about signing up.

 

Before every meet you will receive an email from me (Katlin Fuel) with information regarding specific warmup times and if there is any additional information from the host team such as parking directions or online heat sheets. Please remember that we are at the mercy of the host team for this information. Some teams will have this information to me a week in advance others the night before. As soon as I get the information I will send it out.

 

Meet Fees:

At the end of the month you will receive an email from Robin Berg containing a statement with all of the fees from the last months meets. You will have a week to look over this statement and let Robin know if there are any issues. After that week has past we will charge your YMCA account with whatever payment method you have on file.

 

Be aware that fees vary from meet to meet. The cost of each individual race as well as relays is listed in the meet information if you click the Blue meet name. Please note, if your child is signed up for a relay and suddenly you cannot attend the meet and we have to scratch the relay because we don’t have another swimmer to fill in, your family will be responsible for the entire relay fee.
