CAT Swimmers Rock The Blocks in Smithfield
Carolina Aquatic Team Families,
Congratulations to all the CAT swimmers who participated in the Rock the Blocks meet this past weekend in Smithfield NC.  The coaches approached this very early season meet with one goal in mind:  Execute proper swimming habits, even when the racing might not feel the greatest or be the fastest.  Learning to do things well, establishing effective habits, and having fun is what this meet was all about.  Full meet results can be found on the website by clicking here.
Each meet the coaches award the following 3 honors to CAT swimmers.  The CAT Award is given to the swimmer who demonstrates best what it means to be a year round swimmer with the Carolina Aquatic Team.  The swim of the meet is given to the swim who sticks out most to the coaches for effort / execution (not necessarily speed).  The final award is the Swimmer of the Meet based off of their entire meet effort, improvement, or results.
CAT Award:  Josh Kim for doing what it took to compete in the meet, even if that meant arriving a full session early.
Swim of the Meet:  Sophie Lange for her 200 Fly
Swimmer of the Meet:  Ben Lee
New CAT Top 10 Times:  (Full CAT Team Top 10 Lists can be found on the website homepage under the Times tab or by clicking here)
-Ben Lee:  50 Free (30.17), 50 Fly (32.81)
Thank you also to all our families for volunteering their time to help make this meet a success.  Without your support, offering these racing opportunities to the swimming community simply would not be possible.  Just a reminder, volunteer signups are now open for the Trick Or Treat meet we are hosting at the SportsPlex the weekend of October 26-28th.  Please visit the website and signup now.
Looking ahead our next competition is the CAT Trick or Treat meet in Hillsborough NC at the SportsPlex.  Meet Signups are also now open on the website.  Have a great week and we look forward to seeing everyone at the pool!
