NJS HAS LOST ONE OF ITS COACHING LEGENDS-HANK BUNTIN DIED (WITH FUNERAL INFO)

It is with great sadness that we are sharing the passing of Hank Buntin on Sunday October 7th, 2018

Hank Buntin had been involved in competitive swimming for over 60 years as an athlete, instructor, and coach, including 45 years at the Summit Area YMCA and concurrently, 35 years as the head coach of the Crestview Swim/Tennis Club in New Providence. His high school experience included 5 years at Snyder High School in Jersey City and 9 years at New Providence High School.  Hank was a retired teacher of Biological Sciences from New Providence High School, and recently retired as the Head Coach of the Summit Y "Seals."  He was the author of The Pointy Arrow Concept, a book about designing competitive swimming strokes.  More recently, Hank was a part of the BAC Coaching Staff working with athletes across most practice groups within the program.

Once details of arrangements are available, information will be passed along.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Hank's family at this time.
