MOR has 5th most USA Scholastic All-Americans

Cary, NC:Marlins Of Raleigh Swim Team has the 5th most USA Swim Scholastic All-Americans

19 Marlins Of Raleigh (MOR) swimmers were named to the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American team announced today.  MOR had the 5th most Scholastic All-Americans in the entire US out of over 3000 swim teams and MOR contributed to North Carolina having the most Scholastic All-Americans among all states in the country.  The 19 selected swimmers are the most MOR has ever had qualify for the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American Team and the most from any team ever in the Triangle.  MOR had almost double the # of Scholastic All-Americans as any other team in the Triangle.  To qualify, swimmers must have finished grades 9, 10, 11, or 12, maintain a 3.5 GPA for the year and made a USA Swimming Winter Jr. National Qualifying Time.  “We are very proud of the accomplishments of these student athletes.  They manage their time well in order to excel in school as well as in the pool.  Many of them train 23+hours/we  They represent MOR’s commitment to excellence in academics while committing to succeed nationally in swimming.    These student athletes set an outstanding example for our younger swimmers.”  Said MOR Head Coach Paul Silver.
