This past month Kyra has surpassed all expectations. A huge highlight for this month included her 200 IM swim at her second Pass Meet breaking 4 minutes! (YAY) Kyra has come to every practice really ready to work hard and man has her hard work been paying off. Congratulations Kyra and keep up the great work!!
This months “Swimmer of the Month” goes to Amy! Throughout this month, she has shown me that she is eager to learn, ready to take on a challenge and excited for practice! She always has a smile on her face (even after a hard practice) and never fails to try her absolute best. Even if she finds something difficult, she always tries it out! She’s done an incredible job this month... Congratulations Amy!
Conditioning and Technique
This week’s swimmer of the month is Naomi. Naomi is new to the Dolphins program, but she has been super keen to be a part of the family. She has had perfect attendance and works hard when she is at the pool. She has done amazing at doing her streamlines off the walls and making sure her turns are quick!
Age Group Blue
AGB 1 Nicholas Sawchyn
Nicholas brought forward this month the determination and focus that Sophie had been searching for a long time! Nicholas made large improvements with his kick finally breaking 4 minutes in his times 200 kick in practice. Even though it was at time difficult to get him motivated in the pool, when Nicholas was ready to work man was he ever ready to work this month. His excitement, sarcasm and love for dad jokes are definitely something to look forward to every practice. Congratulations Nicholas and Keep up the good work!
AGB 2 Korina Dufour
Korina has shown so much improvement this month, her freestyle strokes are looking amazing and her butterfly is getting better and better everyday! She is a great role model in the group and always helps everyone out when they need it. Keep up the good work!
Age Group Gold/Provincial
November Swimmer of the Month for Age Group Gold and Provincial has been awarded to Zach McLeod. Zach impressed me at the Gator’s swim meet at SFU, with his approach and commitment to his 200 fly and 400 IM races. Zach achieved personal best times and Tier 1 cuts in both those events! Zach has been working very hard at workouts to improve upon his general fitness and his technique. Zach continues to impress me by always knowing his best times and where he achieved them! I look forward to watching Zach at the Richmond Fast Swim Meet, December 14, 15 and 16th at Watermania.
Naomi Cole, following her participation to the Swim BC Camp Naomi is hard at work is getting ready for Fast swimming at Fast Swim Classic
