Today we had a great finish to a great weekend for LAC!
At JOs we had 17 finals swims including wins from Maddie, Sophia, and Jack. We had some huge time drops and some major breakthroughs. Including a first time 1:59 200 free for birthday girl Minh-nha and her friend and teammate Aven. A 30+ second drop in the 1650 for Jack, and the conclusion of a high point performance for Sophia. Congratulations to all JO finalists and everyone who got a best time at the meet. It was a great team performance!
At Husky, we had four finalists tonight and finished the meet with 7 finals swims. Going into the meet we were seated to have one! Taber finished a perfect meet with 9/9 best time swims (including improving in finals). Chenoa, Chris, and Nick all made finals in the 200 fly and beat their AM swims. In seven finals swims our athletes beat their time in finals all seven times! This is what we practice and they executed well!
Thank you to all parents who helped time at the meets. Thank you to the Robinsons for chaperoning Husky. Your support of the kids helps them do their best!
We had extremely good team support at both meets and the cheering and can do attitude helped all of our athletes!
The kids did remarkably well considering we were out due to the fires and had a shortened taper period. Now is time to reset goals and look toward Santa Rosa (14&un BB times Feb), and Clovis (Time standards will be put out shortly Mar 7-10) as our next trials/finals meets. Let’s see what we can improve on between now and then to make our season even more successful!
