For the first time in Lakota YMCA history, we qualified a swimmer for Winter Junior Nationals. Hannah Cech travelled to Greensboro, NC to swim the 200 IM, 400 IM and 1650 free. She went 2 for 3 on best times, which were all new team records. She placed 122nd in the 200 IM, 37th in the 400 IM and her highest place of 27th in the 1650 free.
To finish December our USA registered swimmers travelled to Louisville, KY to swim in the Ohio River Challenge. 7 team records were broken, many best times and new team Top 10 were posted, 5 new AA time standards achieved and 2 new Zone championship time standards achieved.
Our high school swimmers will be competing for their schools looking forward to High School Sectionals. We are so proud of all of our swimmers for their amazing accomplishments. We look forward to some great training in December to prepare us for the last 2 months of the season. We will quickly be wrapping things up in March. Congrats Stingrays!
