January Newsletter

Happy New Year!

Hard to believe we are already a few days into 2019. I hope everyone enjoyed a break from the pool deck, and is looking forward to getting back into the swing of things to finish off the season strong.

2019 POLAR PLUNGE
The OLSC/Skaneateles Polar Plunge is just a few weeks away (January 19-20). Registration for the swim meet is now open on our website; you should have received a separate email notification. We are fortunate to be able to partner with the Skaneateles Lightning team again. Crystal will be sending out an email soon regarding volunteer sign up for the meet. Attached is a letter from swim parent, Laura Bond who organizes our basket raffles each year. Please read and do your best to help her put together some amazing raffle items!

ASSISTANT COACHES WANTED
We are currently looking to hire more assistant coaches to help with all age groups. Attached is a job posting that will be submitted to Niagara Swimming to help spread the word. I ask that you also share with your social circles, or consider helping out yourself. We do plan to host a coaches forum soon so that anyone interested in coaching can learn more about requirements, time commitment, etc. Details to follow soon!

NIAGARA LSC ‘ASK THE BOARD’ Q&A
The Niagara Board of Directors will be hosting a Q&A conference call on Thursday, January 17th at 9 p.m. The purpose of the call is to allow all members of Niagara swimming – coaches, parents, and athletes – to speak directly with board members about various goings on in the LSC. You can join the meeting via phone or computer:
