St Lucia Channel Swim 2019

During 2018, The St Lucia Swimming Federation hosted the INAUGURAL St Lucia Channel Swim event which was supported through Ministry of Tourism, Department of Youth and Sports as well as  many local organizations.
As a result from this first event, we have been nominated for the  World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA) Swim Offering of the Year for 2018!

Preparations have started for the 2nd annual St Lucia Channel Swim event which will take place from July 4-July 9th.  The event involves open water swim clinics with  Mr. Philip Rush, crossings by solo and relay swimmers, and media events pre and post the swim.
The channel crossing is 33 ks of beautiful Caribbean sea with gorgeous landscapes ahead and behind of the high volcanic islands of St Lucia and Martinique.  This swim has only been completed a few times so this event will be sure to attract attention.

Registration is open and you can see more on our FB page here:

The event includes "The Races" - 1k, 3k, 5k open water swimming event set in the beautiful Rodney Bay off Reduit Beach. These will take place on Saturday July 6th with Open Water clinics the days before.   We will be sending out the summons/invitation for this event in the next few months.
Additionally, we have special accommodation rates for participants at several local hotels.
