Welcome to Session 2/Winterfest Updates
Good Afternoon Bulldogs and Welcome to Session 2!
This update is going to contain quite a bit of information, so please read carefully.

First and Foremost WELCOME to all of our New Session 2 Parents and Swimmers!  Please ensure that you have downloaded the Remind App as this is how I can easily communicate all last minute notifications!  Please use the following link if you need to join our class on the app:

Practices this week:  
This week practices only run on a normal schedule from Monday through Wednesday.  Thursday the Stevenson Boys Team has a home meet, so there is ONLY practice for the Sr. Dog group from 3:30 to 5:00pm.  Friday there is NO practice for ALL swim groups as Winterfest Begins!

Winterfest:
By now you should have all signed up for your 3 Volunteer Spots for this weekend.  If you are unable to volunteer, your account will be billed $75 for each non-worked session.  If you have specific questions or need to review your sign up, please contact Sara Zaremski directly at sara.zaremski@gmail.com. 

With respect to Winterfest Volunteers, please arrive timely and check in with our volunteer coordinators in the hallway for each session.  This includes your floater session.  Failure to check in appropriately will result in being billed for a non-working session.  All Volunteers, PLEASE act in a respectful and responsible manner all weekend.  This is our ONLY hosted meet for the year.  As a team, we need to ensure our guests and swimmers are taken care of throughout the weekend.  There should be no surprises, and no complaints from any of our volunteers on work expectations this weekend.  Our Board of Directors has put in countless hours behind the scenes planning to ensure this weekend is successful for our club.  Please also remember that we are volunteers too!

The Hospitality Room on deck is NOT for Parents and Swimmers!  Anything in this room is off limits to swimmers and parent volunteers.  The snack bar located in the main hallway will be open and available to you to purchase food and beverage items each day of the meet.

The Heat Prizes and Favors are NOT to be distributed unless earned.  Parents who are not awards volunteers should not be in the control room handling awards. 

For our new families, please know that the Winterfest information does not apply to you.  Our volunteer year runs from February 1st, 2019 to January 31st 2020.  I realize all of the about is and should be self-explanatory, but it never hurts to send a reminder! J

Bag Tags:
New to Winterfest this year, we will be selling Bag Tags.  The cost is $5.00 per tag.  These will be available to purchase at the admissions table in the main hallway at Saline High School.    I will send a picture via the Remind App.  Thanks to Brian Vanairsdale for coordinating… they look awesome!

And on a final note, if you’re still with me, is that we officially have our “Move back to NHS” date for our Bulldogs, Jr. Dogs, Underdogs and Puppy Groups.  We will be back at NHS on Monday January 28th.  The calendar will be updated accordingly.  Practices (depending on your group) will run from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Thank you in advance for all of the hours you’ll be helping our club this weekend.  We couldn’t run a successful meet without each family doing their part!  Good luck to all of our kids as well!
