Dryland Training with Just Fitness

YKPBSC is excited to introduce a partnership with Just Fitness to provide dryland training. This training is highly recommended for Bronze through Gold. Training will run twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45-4:30. YKPBSC members can register for 3 months at the reduced rate of $50/month. http://www.justfitness.ca/young-warriors.html

First session is 15 January. In order to participate, Parents must return registration and waiver forms to Just Fitness prior to the first session. These forms will be available to your swimmers at the pool on Wednesday and all through the Frostbite Camp. Coach Scott will accept them on Tuesday, at the latest, but a drop off to Just Fitness (4920 54 Avenue) over the next few days, is preferred.  

It is recognized that many swimmers are multi-sport athletes and their time is very valuble/limited. For that reason, we scheduled the workouts to be completed before supper on their non-swimming days. As the timelines are tight, foreplanning and carpooling is recommended. Additionally, the athletes need to adequately refuel/rehydrate before meeting with Coach Scott. These will be intense sessions that will challenge the athletes.

As your athlete is now representing YKPBSC in the general public, please make every effort to help them to arrive prepared and on time and with a positive attitude.

Finally, these sessions are not mandatory but they are highly recommended. Our partnership with the Raquet Club is still in place. This is an alternative step to fill in a need that was viewed as lacking in our Development Squads. It may not be the final answer, as we aspire to evolve and improve to meet the needs of the Club's membership.
