Before Winter Break, our own Paralympic athleteMorgan Ray competed in the Paralympic National Championships in Tucson, Arizona. He dropped an incredible amount of time and was a fantastic representative of Bolles Swimming. Below are some words from Coach Cameron about his experience there:
"Morgan Ray had a great meet at the U.S Paralympic Nationals. In
the six events he swam he dropped over 25 seconds. His 100
breaststroke time would have made finals in the Rio Paralympic
Games and his 400 free was below the previous American record. He
was second in 4 events.
At Bolles we are humble in victory and gracious in defeat. Morgan exemplifies that above all. He wanted to win but never saw his finishes as a loss. He said to me the meet humbled him, I asked why, his response; "there are many ways to win." That response was a great glimpse into the mind of a truly elite athlete as the process is celebrated as much as the result.
However, next meet he's going to win!
Congratulations Morgan on this amazing achievement!
