Need Service Hours?
The Following Positions Need to Be Filled
for the March Madness Meet:
Assistant Meet Director
Assistant Snack Bar Coordinator
An all-weekend job, the Head Marshal position is crucial for ensuring a safe environment for the swim meet—and taking it on will fulfill all your volunteer hours.
The Head Marshal works with the meet director, coaches, officials and volunteer marshals in ensuring a safe environment for the swim meet. The Head Marshal helps to maintain crowd control and supervises safety on the pool deck, in locker rooms and in spectator areas.
The Assistant Meet Director would shadow the current LAMVAC Meet Director in March and take over the job going forward. Serving as Meet Director fulfills your family service-hours requirement; the position is vital. No experience is necessary, and the person who previously served as Meet Director will help with training and guidance.
The Assistant Snack Bar Coordinator for the March Madness meet will also act as Head Snack Bar Coordinator for the Mayhem meet two months later. By assisting for several hours during the March meet, you will receive all the information and training you need to sucessfully lead the position in May.
