Vision Problems in the Pool? Check this out!

Vision Problems in the Pool?  Check this out!

Many swimmers have a hard time seeing our workouts or even pace clock because of vision issues, we though we'd share this solution which may help some!

Dr. Koop is having an open house on February 11th to discuss the options with parents and potential patients. Pictured is the invitation with all the info, and here are some more details:

  • The Open House is coming up on February 11th. Invites are attached.
  • A link to an article here about athletes and vision correction:  https://www.allaboutvision.com/sportsvision/orthokeratology-athletes.htm
  • A swimmer's testimonial:
    • Savannah is a 12 year old girl who loves to swim competitively. She had been struggling in the pool and had complained that she could not see well when she was in the pool and could not see her coaches well.  We started her with Wave Corneal Molding and were able to achieve 20/20 vision without her glasses on. Her Mother at her f/u visit after her first swim meet post molding commented that Savannah came out of the pool with a big smile on her face.  Her Mom asked her why the big smile. Savannah said that she was happy because she could see her coaches and also was able to read her times from the pool and know how she did when she finished. She had never been able to do that before Wave Corneal Molding.
