Congratulations to the Mantas Swimmers of the Month for January!

Novice -Brittan Hoffman

The Novice swimmer of the month is Brittan Hoffman!!   Brittan comes to practice with a smile on her face. She always tries to push herself at practice to do better.  Brittan participated in the Mantas Penguin Invite.  This was her first short course meet.  Not only did she swim best times in all events, but also got three "B" times in the 50 Free, 50 Back, and the 100 Free.  At first, Brittan did not want to swim the 100 freestyle, because she was afraid of the event.  With encouragement from her coaches, and the promises that Coach McKenna would be cheering her on at the end of the lane with a cap and goggles on her head, she swam the 100 freestyle.  Great job at the meet and I can't wait to see you swim at MRC’s.  Congratulations Brittan Hoffman, Swimmer of the Month for Novice group.

Age Group - Kamryn Hoffman

Kamryn is Age Group’s Swimmer of the Month. When Kamryn moved up to Age Group she was ready for a greater challenge. Kamryn is stepping up to the challenge of Age Group swimming. As a lover of all things butterfly, she often asks if she can swim anything butterfly in practice. In her short time with Age Group she has improved her skills in all strokes and is developing into a well-rounded swimmer.
Congratulations Kamryn!

Senior - Grace Busch

Grace Busch is the swimmer of the month for the Senior groups.  Grace has always been a leader in the pool for Mantas Swim Club.  Grace’s leadership hasn’t come with her words, as she is a naturally quiet person, but rather with her work ethic during practice.  She is ALWAYS willing to give everything she has to improve.  Lately, Grace has learned to vocalize what she feels in the water, take it one race at a time, and SMILE even when things are hard during the season.  All of this has led to big improvements in her races. Along with her teammates, Grace is laughing her way to a great season!  I am very proud of Grace.  I can’t wait to see what’s next.
