KSC Dominates MAVS Eliminator

 

The Killarney Swim Club turned up the waters in Okotoks last weekend at the Mavericks Madness Meet.  The team sent a contingent of 60 swimmers who posted some impressive results.

The Mavs meet, featured a 50 free eliminator event for the boys and girls, and a 25 eliminator for the 10 and under boys and girls.  Killarney dominated the eliminator events winning 3 of 4.  Balazs Moldovan took the boys 50, Alan Piatek won the 25 boys, and Matea Gigovic topped the 25 girl’s event.  Nyla Smith represented Killarney in the girls 50 eliminator.

The team recorded 256 best times.  In the medal haul, Killarney produced 75 medals including 36 Gold!

The Team now sets its focus on the Alberta Provincials and Championships.  Killarney has 30 swimmers qualified for the Provincial meet and 16 for the Championship meet.  Event winners at Provincials can advance to Championships.
