Our ESC home swim meets are a significant part of the ESC budget since we earn revenue from each meet entry. However, to run a strong swim meet, we need LOTS of volunteers; this is why the ESC swimmer contract includes volunteer requirement of at least 20 hours; however, please understand that the minimum of 20 hours per swimmer is not enough to host our four home swim meets; the club really needs everyone to help fill open spots even if it goes beyond your 20 hours. To that end, the Job Signups for our last 2018-19 home meet are now open [February Divisionals : Feb. 22-24]: see directions on signing up in the meet event page.
We have an excellent core group of volunteers running the admin table, concessions, and hospitality—but we need all members to sign up to ensure the meet runs smoothly and that our core group of volunteers do not burn out J So, please sign up asap for more or more sessions. Remember, friends and family members are welcome to help; just sign them up through your account!
FINAL NOTE: Per the contract, this is the last chance to earn volunteer hours for the 2018-19 swim year. Each ESC member is required to work 20 volunteer hours by helping at home swim meets. 2018-19 volunteer hour commitments not fulfilled will be billed at $35/hour. However, those who have worked 50+ hours for the year will receive 25% off their next month's dues! Even if your child is not swimming at a particular home meet, we need all of our members to pitch in-- especially in the timing positions. If you do not know what a job entails, shoot us an email; we are happy to offer details/training. Thanks in advance to everyone for taking on a position (or 2 or 3) to help keep Evergreen Swim Club in a healthy financial position by allowing us to host GREAT home meets! GO BIG TREE!!!
