Aulea Weekly Update

Congratulations to Aulea swimmers who swam at this past weekend's HHSAA championships.  Alana Barthel (Le Jardin Academy) won the state title in the 100 yard back.  Other swimmers winning medals included Luke Faurot (LJA, 2nd place, 100 breast), James Lyon (Punahou, 4th place, 200 free and 500 free), Thomas Caps (LJA, 4th place, 200 IM), Jon Reiter(Iolani, 5th/6th place, 100 breast and 200 IM), Jen Reiter (Iolani, 6th place, 100 back), Zack West (Kalaheo, 7th place, 100 back), and Ethan Ravelo (8th place, 100 back).  In addition to all of these individual swims, many Aulea swimmers were on medal winning relays.  Great job representing your school teams to all!

3) The deadline to sign up for the A+ meet on 02/23 is next Sunday (02/10).  Please get your sign ups in on time!  The A+ is the last chance meet qualifier for JAG's as well as both Senior and Age Group Sectionals so we are really gearing up for this one!  (Special note: JAG's will be at UH this year which is a FANTASTIC venue!)

4)   For those still deciding, this year’s Kauai Classic travel swim meet is March 30-31. Last year, about 20 families went on this trip and it was a fantastic time. Anyone can swim this meet, as there are no time qualifications, and it's a really great team bonding travel meet. If you are interested in attending, please fill out the survey found at this link:

Let's have a great week at practice everyone.
Happy Streamlines and Go Aulea!
