We had a great showing at the meet we co-hosted with the Oregon Community Swim Club! First of all, a big thank you to everyone that showed up, pitched in to help out and brought food donations for the hospitality room. Also, we couldn't have done it without some incredible help and leadership at the "table" - John Carabelli, Dave Franklin, Todd Mueller, Sheila Kitzman, and Amanda Hayes deserve an even bigger Thank You!
First and foremost, our newest Level 1 swimmer, Emma Olson (Pictured) got her first heat winner award in her very first swim meet ever! Congrats Emma - love the smile. Also nabbing a couple heat winner awards was Bria Jacobson (pictured).
As cool as heat winner awards are, we had a couple swimmers stand out as High Point Winners!! Congrats to Avery and Cale Miles and Gracie Colvin!
Below are links to .pdf results of the meet.
In addition to .pdf results, I have uploaded our results file to a swimming-results and college recruiting website called SwimCloud. Please check them out if you have a moment. Here, you will see the results, the improvement (based on previous results already uploaded) and will also see something called "Power Points." (Full disclosure, I've been doing some part-time consulting work for SwimCloud in my spare time.)
What are Power Points - An explanation of what USA Swimming's PowerPoints are.
You will see that while we took third in the meet, our girls' team's power points were the highest and our boy's team's score was second! You can search for your swimmer using the search dialogue on the right, or, you can click on the little graph icon on the right and see a lot more detail. Check it out and let me know what you think.
Next up - Regional Meet this weekend in Stoughton, 12&Under State next weekend at Schroeder in Brown Deere, WI and 13&Over State at Pleasant Prairie, WI in three weeks!
