2019 CAT Valentine Splash Meet Wrap-up
Carolina Aquatic Team Families,
Congratulations to all the CAT swimmers who competed in the Valentine Splash this past weekend in Hillsborough!  This meet served as the final opportunity to race before our championship meet season kicking off this weekend with NC Age Group Championships and continuing through Tar Heel States at the end of March.  The coaching staff is very excited to see how our swimmers progress through this final phase of the short course season.
Also, thank you to all the volunteers who made this meet possible!  Our CAT families are the best when it comes to supporting our program and swimmers, as well as the swimmers who attend out meets.
Full results from this weekend’s meet can be found on the CAT website by clicking here.  You may also view the updated best times per swimmer by clicking here (must be logged into the website).  Below are some highlights from our weekend.
MVP of the Meet:  Margaret Sept, Ben DeSimone & Josh Kim for all getting 3 new championship meet cuts!
Swim of the Meet:  Charlie Whaley – 200 IM
CAT Award:  Topher Roberts for his perseverance in attempting to make a cut in time trials after swimming the same event an hour early and his humility after coming up just short for a second time.  When talking with his coaches he made the point of how this only adds to his motivation, drive and desire moving forward.
Good luck to all the swimmers in the coming month as we move forward with our championship meet season!
