Our 12 & Unders had another good showing this past weekend at the Silver Bronze Championships at Berkeley Aquatics in New Providence. Our 12 attending little ‘Cudas earned 32 Career Best Times in their 70 splashes, 3 new JO times, 8 new team records, and a bunch of top-finishes. What a great finish to the short course season!
First Places were earned by Paityn Bates (100 Free); Peyton Berg (200 Back, 50 Breast); Reese Berg (50 Free); Sadie Cornelius (50 Fly); and Ty Hollar (50 Free). There were 14 other Top-3 finishes too!
New NJB Records were set by Ty Hollar (25 Free); Nathaniel Kern (200 Free, 50 Back); Peyton Berg (50 & 100 Free, 200 Back, 50 Breast); and Marcus Innamorato (500 Free)!
Collectively the group soaked up 32 Career Best Times. While all great, some were significant drops like Paityn Bate’s 200 Free (-8.93), Peyton Berg’s 200 Back (-8.10), Reese Berg’s 100 Back (-20.85), Salome Calderon’s 50 Breast (-10.08, and Marcus Innamorato’s 200 IM (-21.87) and 500 Free (-8.10) just to name a few! And congratulations to Peyton Berg (50 Breast, 50 Free) and Reese Berg (100 Back) on swimming new JO Times! There were also 12 new Silver Times swum.
For those who are now done with short course, thanks for all the fun this season- hope to see you back in April for long course season (info coming soon)! Congratulations to all of our swimmers, and good luck to those moving on to JOs!
