Donations for Detroit SWIMS
February 19, 2019
My name is Isaac Fong. I'm a Canton High School senior in the National Prep group. As a member of National Honor Society, I am in charge of creating an individual service project. For my service project, I have teamed up with my fellow teammate, Kyle Belveal, to organize a swimsuit and swim gear drive. The drive will benefit Detroit SWIMS, a program run by the YMCA of Detroit that teaches inner-city kids water safety and how to swim.
This is where we need your help. Detroit SWIMS collects monetary donations as well as suit and gear donations. It would be wonderful if you could donate swimsuits and gear (kick boards, fins, buoys, paddles, etc.). Swimsuits and gear do not have to be new; old, gently used suit and equipment are also perfect donations!
There will be a donation box at the entrance of the Canton High School pool. Please drop off any suit or equipment donations there. If there are any questions, please let me know (email@example.com). Thank you for your help! Go Cruisers!
