GTA Skins Meet

Recently the Cambridge Aquajets competed against 15 other competitive swim clubs at the GTA Skins Swim Meet (long course) held at the  Markham Pan Am Pool.  The meet was hosted by the Milton Marlins Swim Team.


Thirty-four swimmers competed in this event. CAJ swimmers netted 24 medals.  Leading the Aquajets in the gold medal count was swimmer Maya Troup who earned five gold medals.  Troup earned gold in 50m freestyle (34.11), 100m free (1:17.33) and 200m free (2:58.27); 50m backstroke (30.08) and 50m butterfly (37.30). 

Hailey Murdoch earned six medals for her swims, including gold in 100m backstroke (1:27.63) and 100m breaststroke (1:42.84), silver in 100m freestyle (1:18.80) and bronze in freestyle for her 50m (35.05) and 200m (3:02.72) and bronze for 50m backstroke (41.51). 

Lauren Mage earned silver in freestyle for her; 50m 27.73, 100m 59.99, and 200m 2:10.53; silver in 200m backstroke 2:28.96 and bronze 200m medley 2:30.53. 

Owen Inglis earned silver in 50m breaststroke 55.12 and bronze in 100m freestyle 1:42.86 and 100m breaststroke 1:57.60. 

Kaylee Cody Hodgson earned silver for her 50m 38.42 and 100m 1:25.98 breaststroke.

Ella Caron swam to a gold finish for her 100m breaststroke 1:34.54.

Netting bronze were Hannah Caron 200m backstroke 2:43.23 and Josephine Streppel 200m butterfly 2:43.64.
