Swim A Thon 2019

2019 Swim-A-Thon

On behalf of the Board of Directors and coaching staff, we are excited to announce our 2019 Swim-A-Thon campaign.

Swim-A-Thon is an annual fundraiser held by swim clubs across Canada. It is a 2 hour event (one hour for Splashing Up) during which swimmers will swim for 5000 m or 2 hours, whichever comes first! Participating in this type of a swim challenge is an amazing accomplishment for our swimmers and it is also the best way for swimmers to raise funds that directly benefit the club. The Newmarket Stingrays receive 90% of every dollar raised by the swimmers. Swim-a-thon fundraising dollars help the club offset fees associated with pool bookings, maintaining a top tier coaching staff and upgrading our available technologies for stroke assessment and improvement.

Registering and Pledging is Easy

Please go to our club link at REGISTER HERE register your swimmer, and start spreading the word to family, friends, business colleagues, social contacts, and community members that support the sport of swimming.  The fundraising campaign begins on March 1, giving your swimmer 2 months to raise funds and win prizes.

Prizes

This year we have added several Grand Prizes. In addition, we will be offering some great incentive prizes for swimmers that raise money through their Swim-A-Thon profile. Prize details and the Swim-A-Thon schedule will be available prior to March Break.

Tax Receipts

Swim Canada has rules around eligibility for receipts. Please note that tax receipts will not be issued for any donations to Swim-A-Thon again this year.

Thank you for your support of the 2019 Swim-A-Thon. Your contributions and donations raised will help the Newmarket Stingrays continue to provide excellent resources, coaching and swimming programs for our swimmers.

If you have any questions please contact your Swim-A-Thon coordinator Lani McKay at lani.mckay@gmail.com

Thank you for your support
