The team hosted another outstanding MAC White Division Meet. I would like to thank everyone that volunteered and donated items to help make the meet a success. I received numerous compliments yesterday and I am sure the teams from our division will want LCN to host the meet again next year.
As far as the meet goes, the boys swam very well. The team finished in third place 17 points behind first place Anchor Bay and 5 points behind second place Ford. Based on the results of Friday night, Anchor Bay should have won the meet by almost 30 points and Ford should have beaten us by 20, so the team made up quite a few points.
Two other major accomplishments included the team winning the Sportsmanship award and KYLE MOWID was named SWIMMER OF THE MEET!
The following swimmers attained their best times in the following events: 200 Free: Parker Brown, Austin Cunningham, Zach Moscarello & Jakub Voight, 200 IM: Kyle Mowid, Matthew Mattison, 50 Free: Timofei Ivanov, Gary Downing, Ian McSherry, Danny Scully & Miguel Torres, 100 Fly: Jarrett Geddes, 100 Free: Zach Moscarello, Matthew Mattison, Tyler Leverenz, Luis Lalone, & Griffin Delamielleure, 500 Free: Parker Brown, Nick Agnello & Jakub Voight, 100 Back: Ian McSherry & Luis Lalone and 100 Breast: Timofei Ivanov (new Freshman/Sophomore record) & Matthew Cassani.
Our final home meet of the season is the LCN Invitational. This meet serves three purposes. 1. to give swimmers a final chance to qualify for the State Meet. 2. Set new records. 3. Each swimmer will compete for awards competing against only other swimmers in their heat. Hopefully all swimmers have chosen their events on the website.
Please also note: this meet is as large as the County Meet and we will need all the volunteers to help make this meet a success. Please login and go to the jobs signup page for the LCN Invitational.
