The North County Aquatics Swim Club recently attended the Central California Swimming “Junior Olympics” at the Clovis West Aquatic Center on February 15-18, 2019.  There were over 700 participants ranging in age from 6-18 years old.

To enter this swim meet, swimmers needed to achieve a Qualifying Time Standard.  It is important to note, we had three swimmers from the Blue and Bronze Group fulfill this time standard, which says a lot for the quality of our young Age Group Program!

Six swimmers represented NCA at this meet. NCA came home with 9 medals. Tyler Seidel came home 6th place in the 1650, 4th in the 1000 Free, and 7th in the 500 Free. Elyse McIntyre received medals for 6th in the 1000 Free, 8th in the 200 IM, and 8th in the 500 Free. Kendall Moffitt won the 200 IM and the 200 Back and got 2nd in the 100 Butterfly.

Congratulations to all these NCA swimmers who came home with medals for placing in the top 1st – 8th place. Our Bronze swimmers who swam for their first time at Junior Olympics had fantastic swimmers as well. Alyson Morales (10) – placed 23rd in 50 Butterfly, 20th in 200 Free and 32nd in 100 Free, Trace Bennett (7) – placed 10th in 50 Butterfly and 15th in 100 Free and Owen Bennett (10) -placed 21st in both 50 Back and 100 Back and 37th in 100 Free.
