Recently the Atomic City Aquatic Club (ACAC) competed at the Southeastern Championships in Huntsville, AL.  This is a meet open to swimmers who make certain time standards in a region covering Tennessee, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle.

Multiple swimmers made finals (top 16 for older swimmers, top 8 for younger) and, thus, earned points for the team.  Landon Hall (9) had top 4 finishes in all 6 of his races, winning the 500 Free and 200 IM.  Stephan Zhukov (12) placed in the top six in 5 of his events.  Abigail King (14) placed in the top 4 in four races.  Logan Hall (12) placed in the top 8 of all 6 of his events. Mason Fischer (14) took 7th in the 100 Breast and 200 Breast.  Tais Brown (15) took 10th in the 100 Fly and 200 Fly.  Andrew Chou (12) took 5th in the 500 Free.  Leah Alexander (10) took 5th in the 100 Back.

Other swimmers representing ACAC included Dylan Arnold (14), Madi Cottrell (18), Camden Gerchar (13), Carl Helus (12), Ella Kendall (14), Jessica King (14), Creed Loy (14), and Egan Rawn (14).

Next for ACAC will be Senior Sectionals for generally older swimmers, and Age Group Championships for swimmers 14 and under.  Both of these events have even more difficult standards and cover a broader geographical area than Southeasterns.
