The event will take place in the McGuire Gym at the Appleton Y beginning at 6:00pm. After dinner we have some fun activities planned for our swimmers. We ask all our attending families to sign up to bring a dish to pass (see Job Sign Up). Deadline to sign up is Wednesday, March 13. We look forward to seeing everyone attend!!
-YMCA State Meet, March 15-17: If your swimmer has qualifying times for Y State already, please enter the events they would like to swim. If your swimmer qualifies for Bonus Swims, please note the events they would like to swim in the notes section. All relays and events are coaches decision! Coach John or Elizabeth will reach out to families Sunday afternoon on relay decisions for Y State.

-Big Blue Special Olympics Swim Meet, April 28: FCYST was asked again to participate in the Big Blue Special Olympics Swim Meet in Oshkosh, April 28. This year we would like to meet with the athletes we will be teaming up with and make some connections prior to the actual meet. We are looking for Gold, Blue and Senior Teal who are interested in either meeting with the athletes prior to the meet and/or who are interested in participating in the meet. More information will be sent out to families once we have more information from the Special Olympic teams we are teaming up with. Please see Event Sign Up on our website and indicate when your swimmer is available to help.
-2018-2019 FCYST Awards Banquet, Saturday, April 13: This fun event will take place on Saturday, April 13 starting at 6:00pm, at the Grand Meridian. It is always a really fun night for our swimmers and families! In an effort to keep cost of the meal down, we are once again asking families who are able to donate a little extra to the final event cost to contact the Swim Team Office. Thank you to our Banquet Committee for all their hard work on getting this set up for our team!
-Summer FCYST Hosted Meets: Please mark your calendars for our two FCYST Hosted Swim Meets at Erb this summer. We need EVERY family to help run these swim meets! Summer Classic will be the weekend of June 15-16 at Erb Pool. The 21st Annual Bird Bath will be the weekend of July 5-7 at Erb Pool.
-Call for Officials: Several parents have voiced interest in becoming officials. For any parent wishing to become a stroke/turn or starter/ref official or who need to re-certify their YMCA certification, there is an opportunity on Saturday evening, March 16 at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center right after the afternoon session of Y State. For more information, please reach out to John, Elizabeth, Brian Flanagan or Melinda. Being an official is a great way to give back to the sport your child loves and it provides an awesome opportunity to be on the deck with the swimmers and get in your daily steps. Without officials, we cannot run swim meets.
