TITLE: USA DEAF SWIMMING SELECTS COACHES FOR 2019 WORLD DEAF SWIMMING CHAMP IONSHIPS

USA Deaf Swimming is please d to announce the selection of Brad Robbins as Head Coach and Chris Daly as As sistant Coach for the 2019 Wor ld Deaf Swimming Champi onships . The World Championships will be held in Sao P aulo , Bra zil on August 25 - 31, 201 9. Brad Robbins, currently Head Coach of the Tigard Tualatin Swim Club in Tigard, Or egon , has nearly 2 0 years of experience coaching athletes from age grou p to the collegiate level at local, stat e , and national competitions including Olym pic trials . He was recently selected to coach the USA Swimming National Select Camp given his divers e experience with swimmers across a br oa d range of ages and ability levels . Robbins also previously coached for five years with the Sierra Marlins swim club where he coached Deaflympian and world record holder, Matthew Klotz .

Chris Daly ha s been chosen as Head C oach and Assistant Coach for the USADS national team. Daly is currently Assist ant Coach with Sarasota Tsunami Swim Club , Sarasota , FL; and has over 20 years of experience coaching at the club and collegiate level with athlet e qualif iers at the state, national, and Olympic Trial comp etition inc luding achievement of several national deaf swi mming records . Daly s work with Emily Massengale, 2017 D eafly mpian and national deaf record ho lder, for the past two years has prov ided valuable experience in the unique challenges presented by deaf athlete training . He has also deve loped succ essful communication methods that have prepared him well for working with the nation s top deaf athletes.

We are pl eased to have both Brad and C hris leading the USADS Na tional Deaf Swim Team to th e 2019 Deaf Cham pionships, sa id Doug Matchett, Director of USA Deaf Swimming. They both bring an incredible amount of experience and enthusiasm that will lead athlete succe ss in a wide range of national team athletes . The 2019 World Deaf Swimming Cham pionships will be held at the Brazilian Paralympic Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil , from August 2 5 - Aug ust 31, 2019
