2 New Club Records Set at University Championships

2 Newmarket Stingrays Club Records were set at the U Sports Swimming Championships (Canadian University Championships) which were held in Vancouver from Feb. 21-23rd, 2019.

Samantha Anderson, who attends the University of Guelph, set 2 club records in the 200 breaststroke, one short course and one long course.  (This meet is swum short course prelims, and long course finals).  The short course record was tied for the oldest Stingray Club Record on the books, and was set by Laura Adams in 1988 (31 years ago)!

Samantha will be representing the Newmarket Stingrays at the upcoming Canadian Swimming Trials in April.
