Day 2 AG State & Pro-Series Recap

More fast swimming from CWAC as state and team records continue to fall.

TYR Meet - Abbey Taute had the highest finish on the day taking 11th in the 200 back and making the winter junior cut in long course in addition to setting new 15-16 and overall team records.  Tadzio Kurka was 14th in the 200 back after setting new 17-18 and overall team records in prelims.  Bence Szabados was 18th in the 50 fly setting a new team record.  Parker Nolan finished 26th.

AG State - The Pack remain in first place after 2 days of competition.  Raquel Maldonado was a double state champion in the 10&Under Girls 100 back and 50 free.  The 100 back was a new team, meet and state record.  The 50 free was a new meet and team record.  Kayla Duran took home the 11-12 Girls 100 breaststroke state title setting a new 11-12, overall team and pool record.  Kayla achieved both her first winter and summer junior national standard and her 1:02.87 is the 3rd fastest performance of all time.  Jessica Kurpeikis took home a state title in the 11-12 Girls 200 free setting a new team record. Daren Rodgers picked up a state crown in the 13-14 Boys 100 fly.  The 13-14 Girls 800 Free relay team of Alex Mitchell, Piper Wood Prince, Madi Szymanski and Julieta Tracy capped off the session with a state championship and tied the existing state record.  Their time also establishes new 13-14 and overall team records.

Alexia Brockmann was state runner up in the 10&Under Girls 200 IM and Kale Chow was state runner up in the 10&Under Boys 200 IM.  Levin Tipton and Charlie Tracy took 2nd and 3rd in the 11-12 Boys 200 back  Alex Mitchell and Julieta Tracy were 2nd and 3rd in the 13-14 Girls 200 free.  Brooke Mahneke was 3rd in the 11-12 Girls 200 free.  Kayla Duran was 3rd in the 11-12 Girls 100 IM
