Jason Lezak Clinic


The Pacifica Platypus Swim Club, a youth swim team and the CoastSide Tiger Sharks, a masters swim team held a swim clinic at the Terra Nova high school for 50 swimmers aged 7 to 75 that was led by 4 time Olympian Jason Lezak. Jason is an 8 time USA Olympic medalist (4 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze), a 2 time US Olympic Team Captain and a 4 time Olympian (2000, 2004, 2008 & 2012. )He is best known for anchoring the 4 by 100 meter freestyle relay in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing where his come from behind EPIC swim was the fastest relay split of all time (46.06)!! His relay performance secured a win for the united States, setting a new World Record and helped Michael Phelps win 8 gold medals. Jason’s 2008 relay anchor was voted by Sports Illustrated as the most memorable single performance by an American at the Beijing Games.

In May Jason will be inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale
