Sunday 1650

Per U of M management, we will NOT be utilizing two courses for the 1650. All heats of the 1650 will be conducted in the normal competition pool at Canham.

IF the 1650 heats are still going during the warm-up period of the Sunday finals session (4-5pm), swimmers warming up for finals will be able to do so in the non-competition side of the pool, as well as, the diving well. Should this be the case, once the 1650’s are completed, the competition pool will open for additional finals session warm-up lanes.

Please see the attached flyer for parking instructions from the Eastern Michigan University Parking Department (parking fees and locations are set solely by the University, and all proceeds go to the University) and this map for parking information for Canham Natatorium. Please read all street/lot/meter signs carefully. Neither Club Wolverine nor Michigan Swimming are responsible for any parking fines you incur from improper parking.

Coaches Meetings

There will be a coaches meeting on Thursday at 3:15PM in hospitality. An additional meeting will take place on Friday at 7:15AM in hospitality. Teams are responsible for the information provided at these meetings.

Assigned Warm-ups

Warm-up lanes will be assigned for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday prelims. Warm-up assignments will be sent in a separate email prior to the meet.

Lanes 11-13 (closest to bulkhead of the non-competition pool) at EMU will be reserved for EMU Women’s Team practice on Thursday Evening (3-5), Friday Evening (3-5), and Saturday Morning (7-10).

Canham Facility Notes

Teams are welcome to sit in the stands at Canham on Saturday and Sunday. Teams electing to sit in the stands may ONLY sit in the section of stands by the diving well, so as to not interfere with spectators. Also, for their safety, teams/swimmers sitting in the stands MUST enter/exit the stands via the tunnel (by diving loft) or the glass door near admissions. NO swimmers/coaches may climb over the railings to access the pool deck and/or stands!

Swimmers and Coaches entering Canham should do so via the doors by the drop off circle labeled ATHLETE and Coach Entrance. This is where your check-in will be located. Map.

Spectators MUST enter the building through the museum entrance. This is accessed by following the track. NO spectators will be allowed to enter the pool deck through the athlete/coach check-in area. Map.
