This week at Delaware Swim Team: 3/10-3/17
Here's what's happening this week at Delaware Swim Team:
There are some practice changes this weekend, March 16-17, due to Mini Championships.  Below are the practice changes:
Saturday, March 16
Seniors: 8:00-10:00 AM at New Castle
Age Group: 8:30-10:00 AM at Pike Creek only; no New Castle practice
Developmental: No practices at any location; swimmers should be at the meet
Winter Instructional: 10:00-11:00 (no change, despite head's up last week)
Sunday, March 17
Age Group: 8:30-10:00 AM at Pike Creek; no practice at New Castle
Developmental: No practice; swimmers should be at the meet
Winter Instructional: 10:00-11:00 (no change, despite head's up last week)
Looking forward, most practice groups should expect significant practice changes for March 22-24 (Friday-Sunday) due to Silver Championships, which is hosted by Delaware Swim Team.  This is by far the biggest swim meet that the team hosts, and so it will pretty much be "all hands on deck" at the meet for the coaching staff, both figuratively and literally.
Mini Championships is this weekend, March 16-17.
There are assigned warm-ups for this meet.  Delaware Swim Team will have these warm-up times:
~ Saturday morning: 8:00-8:20 AM
~ Saturday afternoon: 1:00-1:20 PM
~ Sunday morning: 8:40-9:00 AM
~ Sunday afternoon: 1:40-2:00 PM
More information for the meet has been sent out, including where volunteers should check in.  You can read this information here.
For anyone that has signed up to volunteer at Mini Champs, make sure that you are signed up for every position that you are filling on Blue Eagle's volunteer sign-up page and our own job sign-up page.  Signing up on our own volunteer page makes it easiest to be awarded volunteer service points for the meet.  Signing up on Blue Eagle's volunteer page lets them know that the positions is filled, and someone from another team doesn't take a spot that you signed up for on our page.
All volunteers for the meet should check in not only at the volunteer check-in table, but also with Coach Matt at the meet and let him know that you are working the position that you volunteered for, in order to earn your volunteer service points.
More information will be sent out in a separate email later this week.
Silver Championships is next weekend, March 22-24 (Friday-Sunday).
Bronze Championships results have been imported, and Silver Championships cuts attained at Bronze Champs were eligible to be added.  The families have been notified, and entries have been updated.  A final team entry list will be uploaded to the meet page on the team website by the end of the week.
Volunteers for the meet are still needed.  You can sign up to volunteer here.
Both Senior Championships and Sectionals are March 28-31.
