We currently have 7 sites in the Hazel Creek Campground reserved for two nights. Our sites are located about ¼ mile from the day use swimming area and 1 mile from the waterfall. Space is limited to the first 56 campers including teens and chaperones. Parents if you can chaperone, please let me know. Teen Campout is for ages 13 and above.
FEES: Cost is $35 per camper to cover sites and food. Place checks in the Gordon swim folder no later than Wednesday, June 19th.** Please include with payment 1) the participating camper’s name/s; 2) vehicle make and model if parking overnight at the site; 3) contact number of supervising parent.
FOOD: Meals provided include dinner on Sunday & Monday nights and breakfast on Monday & Tuesday mornings as well as S’mores over campfire. Please bring your favorite snacks to supplement during the day if so desired.
TRANSPORTATION: We will meet and leave as a group from the Cabana Club on Sunday at 1pm. Check in at the park is 2:00pm on Sunday, June 23rd and check out is 12 noon on Tuesday, June 25th. We are NOT providing rides so please coordinate carpools to and from Sly Park. The first 5 cars are free and spaces will be given out in order of commitment. Each additional car will be $15 per night to be paid at the gate upon entry. Family drop offs entering the park will be required to pay a $12-day use fee unless you arrange for someone in the group to pick your camper up at the front gate waiting area.
PACKING: Campers will need to bring sleeping bags & pads, tents, swimsuits & towels, foot wear for water and tennis shoes, flash lights, sun & bug screen, etc. Camping games such as cornhole, ladder ball, or horse shoes are welcome & encouraged!
DIRECTIONS: 50 East to Sly Park Road (Exit 10). Right onto Sly Park Road. Camp entrance is 4.5 miles on the left side of the road. We are Hazel Creek camp sites #150-157.
SPECIAL NOTES: 1) Unless you are camping with a sibling, there will be no boys and girls sharing tents OR hammocks. This is not up for discussion and will be enforced all night. 2) Quiet hours are 10pm – 7am and they will be observed. 3) Teens will not be allowed to separate from the group without first checking in with a designated chaperone!
