This past weekend the team sent 28 swimmers to the 2019 Short Course Championships at Chelsea Piers. Attending the meet was Caroline Begg, Maddie Boland, Hunter Broderick, Blake Carlson, Kenneth Clark, Clarissa Fleming, Christopher Gregg, Ella Gussen, Michael Ivanov, Alex Ivanovich, Hope Ivanovich, Kelly Leahy, Megan Leahy, Jacob Lee, Parker Lenoce, Abigaile Mais, Matthias McFarlane, Christian Michaels, Kate Murray, Annam Olasewere, Ayaan Olasewere, Anwara Olasewere, Azra Ozgen, McKenzie Parsons, Ava Pisconiere, Abby Ripka, Adrianna Spelman, and Riley Twiss.
The team had a great meet. And, the team records keep dropping.
Kate Murray broke the 11/12 girls 50 yard Free in a time of 24.97 and 100 yard Free in a time of 54.70. Kate also broke Kristen Roorbach's 26 year old record in the 50 yard Back in a time of 28.00. Parker Lenoce broke more team records as well. Parker broke Bryce Keblish's record in the 100 yard Free in a time of 48.44, Ed Stolarski's 100 yard Back record in a time of 53.93 and his 200 yard IM record in a time of 1:58.59, and his own 1000 yard Free record in a time of 9:41.12.
Not only did our swimmers break team records they excelled in the relays as well. The relay team of Kate Murray, Ella Gussen, Annam Olasewere, and Ayaan Olasewere won the 11/12 Girls 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay.
With his swims at Seniors and Age Groups, Parker is now ranked in the Top Ten nationally for 13 year old boys. He is currently ranked 10th in the 200 IM, 8th in the 200 Free, 7th in the 500 yard Free, and 7th in the 1650 yard Free.
