ACAC Swimmers Make Waves At Age Groups in Atlanta

Ten Atomic City Aquatic Club swimmers represented their team at the Age Group Sectional Championships in Atlanta, Georgia.  These swimmers had a great showing, and one swimmer even made Junior Nationals.

Abigail King (14) highlighted the women’s efforts with four finals finishes, a 12 th  place finish, and participation on two girls’ relays.  In the 100 Back, she took second and qualifed for Junior Nationals.  She joined older teammates Tais Brown (15) and Emily Aycock (18) as the three ACAC swimmers who made Junior Nationals this season.

Other swimmers were also outstanding.  Steven Zhukov (12) had eight finals finishes (top ten) and also highlighted a winning 200 Free Relay and second place 200 Medley Relay.  Logan Hall (12) had four top ten finishes and one 13th place consolation final (11th – 20th) while competing in two relays.  

Other ACAC swimmers also added points for the team.  Mason Fischer (14) took 5th in the 200 IM, 11th in the 100 Breast, and 13th in the 200 Breast while also particpating in two relays.  Landon Hall (9) had three top 20 finishes and took 6th in the 200 IM.  Andrew Chou (12) had four top 20 finishes and participated in two relays.  Carl Helus (12) came in 16th in the 50 Free and participated in two relays.  Leah Alexander (10) took 18th in the 100 Back. 

Also competing in individual events and relays were Ella Kendall (14) and Jessica King (14).
