The Gaston Gators were second at BRSL Champs over the weekend in Charlotte.  This was a tremendous team effort with many scoring top 16 in almost every event.  In the boys, Gators scored 1258.5 and was solidly second to ATOM who scored 2959.  CVAC was third with 759 and NOMAD was fourth with 638.  In the girls, Gators scored second with 741 behind ATOM who scored 2945.  PAC was third with 673 and NOMAD was fourth with 664.  This is the fourth year in a row we have been second.  The coaching staff congratulates our swimmers for a tremendous effort.  Considering our limitations with practice time and space WE WERE OUTSTANDING!!!!

Gaston Gator boys were led by Noah Tabor and Eli Sweet who tied for high point trophy in the 10 and under boys.  These boys both swam both events on Friday which propelled them to first place over a very good ATOM swimmer.  Lucas Gates was second in high point trophy in the 8 and under boys.  This youing man got medals in all of his races.  Congrats to these young men and to all boys who scored points for the Gaston Gators

Gaston Gator girls were led by Lily Riley who scored 103 points for the Gators.  She was just out of the top 3, being fourth in the high point trophy award.  Congrats to Lily and all girls who scored points for the Gaston Gators.

Our relays were fantastic.  Even though no relay was first, the team scored top 5 or better in all but 3 relays.  Again another OUTSTANDING team effort!!!!

We would also like to congratulate our 3 seniors who competed in the last short course meet for the Gaston Gator. Brenna Boyter, Trey Davison, and Alicia Hutchins all participated in the Senior walk Sunday night in Charlotte.  We applaud their efforts and thank them for being a part of our program.  When you see them please thank them and give them a "WAY TO GO".
