This is the 4th Day of the Swimming Canada Trials for the World Championships, Pan Am Games, FISU Games, and World Jr Championships! Our swimmers continue to do well, and advance into finals in their respective events.
In the Women's 200 Butterfly, Josie Field placed 11th, however got scratched into the Championship Final! She swam a better time in the Championship Final, placing 8th overall, and was 1.38s better than her prelims swim.
Bailey Herbert swam the 200 Butterfly as well, she finished 16th overall and made it to the Consolation Final. She finished 4th overall in the Consolation Final, and was 0.84s better than her prelims time. In addition, Bailey also swam the Women's 50 Breaststroke, placing 12th overall, making the consolation final. She placed 2nd overall in the consolation final.
Hillary Metcalfe also represented LOSC in the Women's 50 Breaststroke. She swam hard during prelims placing 8th making it to the Championship Final. She finished 9th overall in the Championship Final.
Joshua Kim swam the 50 Breaststroke as well, placing 30th overall. Joshua also swam in the 200 Freestyle Time Trial, finishing with a time of 1:57.84L.
Tomorrow will be the last day of the Trials! Events where LOSC is represented are 200 IM (Hillary Metcalfe, Bailey Herbert, Joshua Kim) and 800 FR (Josie Field). Also to watch out for after finals will be the annoucement of swimmers to represent Canada in various International Teams!
