SWAT Returns to the Water for the 2019 Long Course Season!

Welcome back 2018-2019 IES Short Course Champions! 

We hope everyone had a safe and relaxing Spring Break.

Practices begin today for all training groups. The Schedule for April for all Whitworth Swimmers is below and continues through May 5. EWU Swimmers continue at their normal short course training schedule.

While the April Interim Training Schedule is not ideal, it is necessary to keep our swimmers in the water. As a team we are very fortunate to have the pool space and time that we do at Whitworth. Many teams across the country and several in our own LSC have uncomfortable training times year round. Keep in mind that this is only temporary, our training schedules will only get easier after these next four weeks and we are making the sacrifice now so we can enjoy a nicer facility when we get back into Whitworth next Fall.

Swim-A-Thon Results

The Swim-A-Thon totals have been tabulated and the Top earners are below. Gross earnings this year topped our team goal of $32,000 but after fees we just fell short of the mark with $31,000 raised. This is still the most SWAT has ever raised for the Swim-A-Thon and a Team Record! Thank you all for your fundraising efforts this year. This is a large part of our budget and ensurers the team will be financially stable for the next generation of swimmers. 

Congratulations Gold Group Swimmersfor being the highest pledge earners this year with Bronze coming a close second. Our Top Individual earner this year is Madison Bauman, raising $1,1,30.00! Great Job Maddie and thank you Bauman family for your participation in the Swim-A-Thon this year.
