Goldfins will Race in the 2019 Western Canadian Championships

Goldfins will Compete Against the Best Swimmers in Western Canada

The Saskatoon Goldfins Championship Season continues as the team returns from Toronto and heads to Edmonton, AB for the 2019 Speedo Western Canadian Championships – April 11 – 14, 2019 – Kinsmen Aquatic Centre.

The Goldfins will be represented by 11 swimmers: Jayden Bilous, Maclaren Burwell, Kylie Flynn, Ana Furmanic, Caeli Granger, Hannah Heggstrom, Brayden Hemeon, Ashley Nelson, Blake Tierney, Shanna Tierney, and Nathan Vong will travel with Head Coach, Steven Hitchings and Age Group Head Coach, Gary Cheung.

“Western Canadian Championships is a meet that offers the Goldfins a higher-level of competition,” says Cheung.  “Swimmers will be challenged to step-up and race competitors that they do not have an opportunity to race on a regular basis, therefore providing them greater exposure to Canadian swimming talent.”

2019 Speedo Western Canadian Championship Schedule is as follows:

 Preliminaries – 09:00    Finals – 6:00 PM – MST

Thursday, April 11, 2019 – Events: 200 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke, 200 Breaststroke, 800 (W) & 1500 (M) Freestyle

Friday, April 12, 2019 – Events: 100 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke, 50 Fly & 400 IM

Saturday, April 13, 2019 – Events: 400 Freestyle, 100 Fly, 50 Breaststroke & 200 Backstroke

Sunday, April 14, 2019 – Events: 200 Fly, 50 Free, 200 IM, 800 (M) & 1500 (W) Freestyle
