The Langley Olympians continue their strong presence in the Western Canadian Championships today. As of now, LOSC is placed 13th combined (16th in the Mens and 11th in the Womens) out of 53 teams. LOSC is 7th overall in BC. 

Highlights of the Day Include: 

  • *From Yesterday* - 1500 Freestyle - Luke Stewart-Beinder (14 yrs; 14-16 yrs Age Category) placed 25th with a 20.81s best time, attaining the 14 yrs Canadian Jr Championships Cut and the 15 and 16 yrs Westerns Cut. 
  • 100 Breststroke - Bailey Herbert (16 yrs) won the GOLD medal in the event in her age category, improving her prelims time by 2.00s.
  • 400 Individual Medley - Bailey Herbert (16 yrs) won the GOLD medal in the event in her age category, improving her prelims time by 4.97s.
  • 400 Individual Medley  - Hugh McNeill (15 yrs) won the GOLD medal in the event in his age category, improving his prelims time by 7.71s. He also posted a BEST TIME in the event and BREAKING both the 15-17 yrs and Open/Senior Record that Hugh himself set last week at Canadian Trials. GREAT JOB! 
  • Great Relay by our 13 yrs and Over Girls placed 17th overall! Team Members are Mia Goretic, Sevi Parr, Bailey Herbert, and Gracie Maryschak

  • 100 Freestyle - Bailey Herbert - 5th
  • 50 Backstroke - Hugh McNeill - 29th
  • 100 Breaststroke - Gracie Maryschak - 30th
  • 400 Individual Medley - Mia Goretic - 28th
  • 400 Individual Medley - Gracie Maryschak - 33rd
  • 400 Individual Medley - Luke Stewart-Beinder - 32nd
