LESD Coaching Staff Update

Dear LESD Families,

We are writing to let you know that Todd Clark has announced his resignation as LESD head coach and CEO as well as head swim coach at Hawken.

Todd was hired after a national search and came here to continue LESD’s swimming legacy. He has much to be proud of during his tenure, including coaching multiple national qualifiers, being named Club of the Year by Lake Erie Swimming, and earning the second highest honor of Silver Medal for the 2019 Club Excellence by USA Swimming. While he has been thrilled with all of these accomplishments, Todd feels that continued separation of his family in both Cleveland and Pittsburgh and the persistent demands of the multifaceted positions warrant a change at this time.

We will soon be launching a national search to secure Todd’s replacement and will be keeping the community’s combined feedback in mind during these next steps. We are confident that this process will ensure that LESD’s strong program and national caliber training traditions will continue to thrive and support your Silver Dolphins.

Todd will remain with LESD and continue to coach the Gold Group at Hawken Upper School into the summer to support us in this transition. We hope you will join me in showing your appreciation for Todd’s contributions and in wishing him and his family well.
