What’s Up Waterdevils,
Wow, what a weekend! The team did a terrific job in the pool Saturday at Tidalwaves. We had 167 best times, unbelievable. Lots of highlights for sure, but the one that stood out the most was 15-18 Olivia Juarez broke a 32 year old pool record in breaststroke. Ironically the previous record holder was a Marinwood swimmer, and good friend of mine from back in the day, Liz (Mitchell) Brown. Congratulations Olivia! The results are posted on the website so be sure to check them out. Then it was on to an outstanding parent party at the Lister mansion. Thanks so much to everyone who was able to make it and especially to Craig and Ksenia for treating us all to a wonderful evening. Don’t forget to mark you calendars for our next fun event, Waterdevil Beach Day on Sunday June 2nd. It will be a great day of fun for kids and parents alike.
Congratulations goes out to our swimmers of the week from last week..
8 & Unders: Jack, Giselle, Lily, Mia, and Maizie
9-11: Chris, Lizzie, Lucy, and Finn
11 & Up: Max, Kate, Emily, and Sahaj
Don’t forget to sign up for the Orcas meet this upcoming Saturday if you haven’t already. Coach Chris is making the lineup Monday and Tuesday so please go in and accept or decline your swimmer’s commitment now to help him and the team out. Every swimmer is important to the overall team performance so please be there.
See you at the pool,
Chris, Kent, Barb, and Chris
