Brownell Talbot Dive Coach Job Opening

Brownell Talbot is hiring for a Varsity Diving Coach for the 2019-2020 swim season. This position will manage our Diving program through the NSAA Varsity swim season. This is a great opportunity to be a part of an organization that believes our team members are our most important resource and therefore takes great pride in selecting individuals who help us to achieve our team goals.

The 2019-2020 Nebraska High School season begins November 18, 2019 with the first day of practice. The season runs through February 29, 2020. Practice times are Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:15 pm. Saturday & Sunday times will be determined by the new diving coach and varsity swim head coach. The scope of work also includes meetings, meets, practices, award banquet, and team social events.

Essential Functions:

·         Recruitment of divers including encouragement of potential divers, devising outreach strategies to draw new divers as well as retain existing divers

·         Teaching and development of diving skills

·         Safety of divers

·         Liaison with swim team coaches regarding participation and social activities

Requirements:

·         CPR Certified

·         Lifeguard Certified 1+ Years' experience in a coaching position

·         Valid Nebraska NDE Coaching Certification. Training is available if candidate does not possess this certification.

·         3-5 Years' experience in professional or competitive diving

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Must be knowledgeable of Nebraska, NCAA and CCSDA dive codes

·         Experience with Edive meet program or a comparable program is a huge plus.

·         Candidate will work under the Head Swimming Coach and Director of Activities

NOTE:  This coach will have the ability to start up a USA Diving or AAU Diving program at Brownell Talbot for additional income.
