Hooray!!!! The pool season is upon us! We are very excited for another fun-filled summer!
We want to give a big shout out to Jim Pitts and the rest of his family who got the pool looking so great with that beautiful clear water for Cinco de Mayo. We greatly appreciate his devotion to our pool. We are very lucky to have him as part of our team. When you see him coming out the boiler room please tell him thank you!
If you ever have questions, comments or concerns about the pool please do not hesitate to reach out to our Pool Managers, Kelli and Kerry. They can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please read this email in its entirety, it contains a lot of important information.
The pool will open at 4pm on Friday, May 10th. Due to the expected warm weather and large crowds we are not going to add FLOATIES to the fun. But do join us at 6pm for ice cream.
We have MANY new members THIS YEAR and we are very excited for them to join our NPSC Community. As the season gets started please welcome them and help them get accustomed to our pool rules.
Please be sure to visit our website and refresh yourself on our Policies and Procedures listed under the tab “about us". See link below.
PLEASE know that SAFETY is our number one priority. In order to help the Lifeguards please read the following rules:
IF your child has not passed the pool test they should not be left unattended and definitely can not be in the deep end by themselves without an adult closely watching them.
WE can’t emphasize enough that if your child cannot swim do not take your eyes off of them. If a child starts to struggle we would expect the parent to see it happen first.
IF your child has not passed their pool test they should not be left at the pool by themselves. (Pool Test consists of swimming 2 lengths of the pool without stopping and treading water for 5 minutes) Ask any Lifeguard if your child wants to take the test.
WE want your children to learn how to swim. Water Wings and other floatation devices are not allowed at the pool except on special occasions. Your kids will learn to swim very quickly without them.
Be RESPECTFUL of the Lifeguards time and promptly exit the facility when the pool is closed for the evening.
NO running on the pool decks.
NO climbing over, diving over, sitting on or jumping off the baby pool wall.
Please see our website or the rule board outside the office for additional pool rules.
OTHER General Facility Rules:
IF you want to have a party during open hours with up to 20 non-members please contact the pool at 244-0700. Talk to a lifeguard and they will get you on the calendar. We will reserve you picnic tables for your event. REMEMBER IF YOU HAVE A RESERVED PARTY YOU CAN NOT USE THE TABLES ON THE DECKS. THOSE ARE AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. ALSO REMEMBER THAT CABANA USE IS FOR ALL MEMBERS AND CAN NOT BE USED SOLELY FOR RESERVED PARTIES.
REMBEMBER that NO GLASSWARE is allowed at the pool. If you have bottles please keep them in your cooler. We also do not want to see any glassware on the tables. All it takes is one glass bottle to break. Kids do not wear shoes at the pool and glass is really hard to clean up. If you need a plastic cup the Lifeguards will have some on hand that you may have.
DO NOT EAT ON THE LOWER POOL DECKS. WE NEED TO KEEP THIS AREA CLEAN. IT IS NOT FUN TO CLEAN UP WET CHEERIOS AND GOLDFISH. PLEASE TAKE YOUR FOOD TO UPPER DECKS OR THE GREASS.
DRIVING slowly in the parking lot is a must as kids are always running to and from their cars. Please also note that the parking lot is ONE WAY IN AND ONE WAY OUT.
PLEASE clean up after yourself. Leave the tables clean when you vacate them and please wash and dry any of your dishes that you may borrow during your visit. If you move lawn chairs into the grass please put them back where you found them.
