Parents- there have been a couple of issues that have been brought to my attention over the last few days that I would like to address. Please discuss these with your swimmer so everyone is on the same page.
1. One swimmer (from age group 1) brought in a razor to the locker room, and I was told she was shaving another swimmer’s leg. This is not safe at any age. USA swimming and High School swimming both have very strict policies prohibiting shaving of any nature on the premises, especially the locker room. If a swimmer (of appropriate age) is to shave, it is to be done at his or her home. If a swimmer is caught with a razor, he or she will be sent home. (It will disqualify him or her from a meet if caught). This is a matter of safety.
2. At the end of the night, the showers have been left on in the women’s locker room several times. The custodian has brought it to our attention. We have spoken to the kids (ag2/sr) twice about this, and tonight the lifeguard went in to exit through the locker room and again they were left on. We are guests at Foran high school, and need to treat this facility as if it was our own facility. Please remind your swimmer to make sure they turn the shower off after using them.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
