At the recent California State Championships, LAC athletes had season and lifetime best splits on relays and swims in individual races. Here are some highlights:
Abby Herscu: 29.1 50br relay split, 102.4 100 breast flat start
Chenoa Bodero: 53.3 100fr relay split
Natalie Urban: 23.7 50fr relay split
Bryson Huey: 20.7 50fr relay split, 47.9 100fr flat start
Jared Tovera: 26.3 50br realy split, 21.1 50fr relay split
Chris Rochez: 21.3 50fr relay split
Nick Gregory: 23.3 50fl relay split
Taber da Costa: 22.2 50fr relay split
Ashlynn Kirk: 54.9 100fr relay split.
These were all lifetime best swims.
Abby Herscu placed 6th in California in the 100 breast, beating her best time by 1 second and earning All-American Honors. The Granada girls 200 Medley relay including Abby, Chenoa, and Natalie gained All-American time as did the four hundred free relay which also included Ashlynn Kirk. Dougherty Valley's medley relay which included Bryson Huey is up for All-American Consideration as are the medley and free relays of Granada Men including Chris Rochez, Nick Gregory, Jared Tovera, and Taber da Costa.
We are proud of the great improvements that all of our athletes have made this season and are looking forward to an even better high school season next year!
