Voorhees Swim Team Coach Jeffrey DeNick Inducted into New Jersey
State Interscholastic Athletic Association Coaches Hall of Fame
Voorhees, N.J. (March 27, 2019) – The Voorhees Swim Team and Moorestown High School head swim coach, Jeffrey DeNick, was inducted into the New Jersey Coaches Hall of Fame on Sunday, March 24 by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSCA).
Coach DeNick is the head coach of the Voorhees Swim Team during the summer, which is part of the competitive Tri-County Swimming Association. During the year, DeNick coaches swim at Moorestown High School, earning more than 200 career wins in 18 years. Coach DeNick also led the Moorestown High School swim team to four state finals appearances and back-to-back boys state swim championships in 2014 and 2015.
“I am deeply honored to be inducted into the New Jersey Coaches Hall of Fame,” said DeNick. “There are some real legendary coaches in the New Jersey Coaches Hall of Fame, and I am extremely humbled to be part of it.”
DeNick also added that he is excited to continue to build his legacy at the Voorhees Swim Team. “We have a lot of talented swimmers on this team, and I am looking forward to the turning these kids into competitive swimmers and to see what they can accomplish.”
DeNick has been named Coach of the Year six times during his career. He was named State Coach of the Year by the Star Ledger/NJ.com in 2014.
Coach DeNick’s other accomplishments as Head Swim Coach include:
- Led his teams to 18 N.J. state playoff appearances in 18 years, four NJ State Finals appearances and two N.J. state championship titles.
- Was a sectionals finalist 11 times, bringing home the championship title seven times.
- Led the Burlington County Swim League to a win streak of 75 consecutive meets.
- Brought home the Burlington County Swim League Championship title nine times.
- Coached eight Burlington County Times Swimmers of the Year

About the Voorhees Swim Club
The Voorhees Swim Club (VSC) is a community pool located in Voorhees, N.J. The VSC serves the communities of Voorhees, Gibbsboro, Berlin, Atco, Cherry Hill Marlton and Medford. The VSC also is home to the Voorhees Swim Team Stingrays, part of the competitive Tri-County Swimming Association.
